With the introduction of transistor controlled power sources
for arc welding, OTC DAIHEN Corporation became the leader in technology
as far back as in 1986.
In 1989, OTC DAIHEN Corporation introduced
the full inverter technique for arc welding machines into Europe as
one of the first system designers. Since then an extensive range of
inverter welding machines are available for MIG/MAG, MIG/MAG
pulse, MMA-DC TIG, AC-DC TIG, TIG pulse as well as transistor air
plasma cutting machines.
The development of disturbance-insensitive
microprocessors enabled OTC DAIHEN Corporation to produce digitised
impulse welding power sources since 1997. Using this technology and
integrated Fuzzy Logic, OTC DAIHEN Corporation took quality welding
a giant step forward.
The efforts to overcome the disadvantages that
occur with the CO2 shielding gas widely used in Japan led to improved
machine technology. This improvement in combination with the mixed
gases AR/CO2 generally used in Europe shows outstanding welding results.
